Friday, October 29, Sharp will install a giant LCD screen at the central station in Tokyo. The screen will broadcast ads from Sharp, as well as other informational materials.
A huge video wall will consist of 18 screens with a diagonal of 60 inches and 1366 by 768 pixels each. Total diagonal display will be 330 inches (8.38 meters).
The new system will consist of LCD-panel model PN-V601, which was presented to the public in June this year.
Huge advertising displays often are installed in airports, railway stations and shopping malls, where there is a large crowd of visitors. For example, in September, the company Mitsubishi Electric introduced the world’s largest OLED-display, diagonal exceeding 100 inches (2.5 meters). These displays will also be used to display advertising.
