Viswanathan Anand led the FIDE rating

World chess champion Viswanathan Anand, an Indian topped the rating of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), published on November 1, 2010 on the organization’s website. Anand has shifted from the first line ranking Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, who had held first place since January 2010.
At the super tournament in Bilbao, which was held in October, Anand won the second place, while Carlsen was the third. Bilbao scored a victory in Vladimir Kramnik, who rose to fourth place in the ranking.

Anand has 2,804 points, with Carlsen – 2802 points, the Armenian Levon Aronian, ranked third in the FIDE rating – 2801 points. In the asset Kramnik 2791 points.

In addition to Kramnik in the top ten in the FIDE rating includes two Russians. Sixth place is occupied by Alexander Grischuk (2771 points) for the ninth position is Sergei Karjakin (2760 points).
