Holyfield VS Williams postponed for the fourth consecutive time
The bout between former undisputed world boxing champion Evander Holyfield wi
th Bahamian boxer Sherman Williams postponed for the fourth consecutive time. A new date of fight, which was originally scheduled for November 5, 2010, and then transferred on 12 November and 9 December, has not been determined.
Williams’s Manager C Stern expressed his disappointment with the decision to postpone the fight. According to Stern, Williams is preparing for a fight since 5 September, and during this time the promoters were unable to establish a clear date for the fight.
At the same time, the Internet edition Boxingscene with reference to Danish media reports that the March 5, 2011 may take place bout between Holyfield and 45-year-old Danish boxer Briand Nielsen. In 1992, Nielsen won the bronze medal in the Olympic Games in Barcelona, but on a professional level he never became world champion.
Holyfield spent his last fight in April 2010, after knocking out South African Francois Botha. Nielsen has not been in the ring since 2002. Currently he is recovering after a knee injury.
