Armenia won the2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest (VIDEO)

The representative of Armenia Vladimir Arzumanyan, 12, won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest “in 2010. Vladimir Arzoumanian and his song “Mama” took first place with 120 points. The song contest was held in Minsk on October 20. Armenia got the highest points from Sweden and Macedonia.
Arzoumanian was ahead of closest pursuer only one point – in second place with 119 points finished the Russian duet Lisa Drozd and Sasha Lazin, “Boy and girl”.
Third place went to the representative of Serbia, Sonja Skorich. In top five also were contestants from Georgia (4 th) and Belarus (5). Ukrainian Julia Gurskaya ranked last, 14 th, place.

Children’s Eurovision contest, which ended in Minsk on November 20, held for the eighth time. In the finals of this competition were young performers from 14 countries.

In 2009, the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was Ralf Mackenbach from the Netherlands, and the darling of the Internet community Jura Demidovich, with the song “Magic Rabbit”, received only a ninth place out of 13.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 featured participants from 14 European states: Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, The Netherlands, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine and Sweden.

Vladimir Arzumanyan, student of Yerevan school # 1, was born in Nagorno-Karabakh.
