Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s Facebook account was blocked
Account of Mikhail Khodorkovsky on Facebook has been blocked by administration of social networks on November 21.
The official reason for the block has not been announced yet, but on the community page dedicated to Mr. Khodorkovsky, a number of users suggested that the account was closed due to violations of rules for using Facebook. And just because other people use name of the former head of Yukos. In such cases administration of social networks can lock your account,and it can be unlocked when the user sends administrators a scanned copy of the passport to verify identity.
Account of Mikhail Khodorkovsky on Facebook was used by the administrator of the Press Center of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev “(khodorkovsky.ru) to publish their materials in a social network. In general, these materials concerning the course of hearings on the case of Yukos. ”
The verdict in the case against Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev must be imposed on Dec. 15, 2010. The defendants are accused of stealing crude oil and the legalization of money derived from its sale. The prosecution calls for former executives of Yukos penalty of 14 years imprisonment. This is the second case against Khodorkovsky and Lebedev – in 2005, businessmen were convicted of fraud, embezzlement and tax evasion. They were sentenced to nine years in prison, later reduced the sentence to eight years.
