Best series in the world awarded In New York
In New York, announced the winners of the international Emmy Award.
A total of 10 nominations were presented 35 programs from 15 countries. Triumph in ceremony was Britain, which received five awards.
The prize in the category “Best Actor” received Bob Hoskins for BBC TV series “Street” in which he played as a bar owner Paddy Gargan. In addition to this Street won an award for best drama series.
Prize in the category “Best Actress” received Helen Bonham for the role of children’s writer Enid Blyton in the TV series “Enid”. Best program for children has been recognized the animated series “Sean Lamb” from the Aardman Animations, who created Wallace and Gromit. Also in the category of best miniseries statuette was awarded to Britain’s “Small Island”.
The remaining awards were distributed among the five countries. Thus, Portugal was the first-ever Emmy for telenovela My Love, and Argentina – a humorous news coverage CQC.
